Cajun Seasoning from Foodly in a ½ cup modern tin. Pungent and warm with heat from black pepper and cayenne pepper.
How to Use Cajun Seasoning
Most traditional Cajun recipes are one-pot dishes such as gumbo or etouffee. Many use a flour and butter base called a roux. Use our seasoning anywhere a recipe calls for Cajun Seasoning, but note our blend has no salt filler and may require less seasoning than recipes designed around store brands.
What’s in Cajun Seasoning?
Store brands of Cajun Seasoning typically contain salt as their first ingredient, followed by chili powders, garlic, and silicon dioxide. Salt-free store blends replace salt with brown sugar as their first ingredient, swapping a sodium filler for a sugar filler.
Our blend is salt-free and sugar-free so you can control the sodium in your food. We use hand-blended paprika, garlic, onion, black pepper, thyme, white pepper, cayenne pepper, and sage in our Cajun Seasoning.
