Turkish Kofte Seasoning from Foodly in a ½ cup modern tin. Kofte seasoning is a traditional blend of spices seen in spice markets of the Middle East used to make meatballs. We use nine herbs and spices in our Turkish Kofte Seasoning blend.

How to Use Kofte Seasoning

Use our seasoning mix to make authentic Turkish Kofte meatballs. Make traditional Kofte from minced lamb, though lean ground beef or lean ground turkey also work very well.

How to Make Kofte

Combine in a mixing bowl one pound of ground meat, one egg, ½ cup bread crumbs, one tablespoon of Kofte Seasoning, two cloves of minced garlic, ½ cup minced onion, and two tablespoons of fresh flat-leaf parsley. Add salt as desired.

The fresh garlic, onion, and parsley can be substituted if needed with ¼ teaspoon of Garlic Powder, 1 ½ teaspoons of Onion Powder, and one tablespoon of Parsley Flakes.

Mix in a bowl gently without squeezing the meat so that the ground meat retains its texture. Make flat and oval-shaped meatballs, a bit over two inches in length (the meatballs should fit in the palm of your hand). Fry in a pan or grill until done and serve with warm pita.

Kofte can also be skewered and roasted as a kebab.

What’s in Kofte Seasoning?

Our Kofte seasoning is hand-blended from cinnamon, black pepper, Aleppo pepper, allspice, nutmeg, sumac, cardamom, cumin, and coriander. This blend is salt-free.
