How to Use Za’atar

Za’atar is a table seasoning in the Middle East. Blend za’atar with more or less olive oil to make a dip or a paste, and serve with flatbreads such as pita or sliced raw vegetables. Add a tablespoon of za’atar spice to homemade or store-bought hummus. Use za’atar as a dry rub for chicken or lamb.

What is Za’atar?
